A quick guide to installation

Mostly written as a reminder to myself the next time I need to do this.

1. Intall Linux Mint Cinnamon

2. Update the O/S

3. Install the Nvidia Drivers

4. Install PyLinux Wheel from here. Set rotation to 540 degrees and save the profile.

5. Install JSTEST-GTK from the Terminal.    sudo apt install jstest-gtk

6. Run and switch controllers 6 and 7 so that reverse gear is detected.

7. Type this into a terminal to make the settings stick for each boot. sudo jscal-store /dev/input/js0 > ~/.jstest-gtk-config     (Check that you have the correct controller number)

8. Download wine 6.03~repack

9. Run the joystick control panel from the terminal.     wine control

10. Disable the 2nd G27 (event) entry

11. Show hidden files in explorer (Thunar etc.)

12. Copy Sierra folder over to your newly created .wine/c: drive

13. Rename GPLSECRETS folder

14. Download GEM+ from here

15. Run installer setting path to GPL

16. If not working, go to .wine/C/Users/Public Documents and delete GEM.ini. Run install again.

17. Reinstate GPLSECRETS folder (should include  v2.5.33)

18. Should all be working now
